NWR releases schedule of Ajmer-Delhi Vande Bharat train service
JAIPUR: The North Western Railway (NWR) on Tuesday released the schedule of the Ajmer-Delhi Cantt-Ajmer Vande Bharat train service which will be flagged off virtually by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday.
Regular train service will start from Thursday with halts at Jaipur, Alwar and Gurugram. This train will have 16 coaches including 12 air-conditioned chair cars, two air conditioned executive chair cars and two driving car class coaches.

According to Captain Shashi Kiran, chief public relations officer of NWR, train number 09617 Jaipur-Delhi Cantt Vande Bharat will leave from Jaipur at 11am and reach Delhi Cantt at 4pm. The inaugural service will stop at Gandhinagar, Jaipur, Bassi, Dausa, Bandikui, Rajgarh, Alwar, Khairthal, Rewari, Pataudi Road, Garhi Harsaru and Gurgaon stations.
As per the schedule released for train No. 20977, Ajmer-Delhi Cantt-Ajmer Vande Bharat train service will run six days a week except Wednesday, leaving Ajmer at 6.20am, arriving in Jaipur at 7.50 am and departing at 7.55 am, arriving Alwar at 9.35am then, arriving in Gurugram at 11.15am and reaching Delhi Cantt at 11.35am.
Train No. 20978 Delhi Cantt-Ajmer Vande Bharat will depart from Delhi Cantt at 6.40pm, arrive Gurugram at 6.51pm, reach Alwar at 8:17pm, arrive at Jaipur at 10pm and reach Ajmer at 11:55pm.
500 schoolchildren to get free ride
On the inaugural run of the Vande Bharat, more than 500 students who won school competitions organised by the railway administration will be able to travel free of cost, said the NWR.
