Man who damaged passbook printer held

Ponda: Police on Tuesday arrested accused, Gautam Kumar, 29, for damaging the passbook printing machine of a nationalised bank in Khandepar on Monday.
Kumar, a native of Fazilpur-Begusarai in Bihar, and residing at Par Khandepar, told police that he damaged the printing machine, mistaking it for an ATM.
“He told us that he mistook the machine for an ATM and damaged it to get money from it. The accused is a labourer,” said Ponda PI Vijaykumar Chodankar. After damaging the machine, the accused carried away pieces of it on his bicycle and abandoned them on a flyover.TNN
