Vadodara: When she reached
Gujarat, the woman from
Haryana had her hopes high of getting good work. But the 24-year-old faced a harrowing time and had to flee from her workplace. Abhayam counsellors helped the woman and promised to help her get back to her hometown safe.
According to Abhayam officials, the woman lost her parents and needed to work to eke a living. She was promised a job in Gujarat by a woman a few months ago. She was given a job in a massage parlour in Ankleshwar, the woman told the counsellors, adding that soon the employers asked her to get into physical relationship with male clients.
Despite her being uncomfortable, the woman was forced to do as said. A couple of days ago, she escaped from the parlour and reached Ankleshwar railway station where she boarded a train. “She got down at Vadodara railway station but a ticket checker caught her as she was travelling without a ticket. It was then that she broke down and narrated everything that had happened to her,” Abhayam officials said.
