Heroine Samantha, director Guna Sekhar, and the cast are working hard to generate as much buzz for their movie as they can, but their promotional materials have fallen short. Because of this, the film's creators had high expectations for the 3D version, expecting it to be a major selling factor.

Because of this, the film's creators had high expectations for the 3D version, expecting it to be a major selling factor. 
According to rumors, the movie's budget climbed and it was repeatedly delayed as a result of the choice to create it in 3D. The highly anticipated Shaakuntalam, which will be released in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Malayalam, and Kannada, is based on the critically renowned sanskrit play "Abhijnana Shaakuntalam" by Kalidasa. The movie is being presented by dil raju under Sri Venkateswara Creations with Gunaa Team Works and is being produced by neelima Guna. It will also be released in 3D.

Shaakuntalam, directed by Gunasekhar, stars Samantha. In this movie, Dev Mohan plays the part of king Dushyant, and Allu Arjun's daughter allu arha plays the part of prince Bharata. There will be significant roles for Aditi Balan, Prakash Raj, Gauthami, Madhoo, Sachin Khedekar, and ananya Nagalla. The music for this movie was written by Mani Sharma.
