Mercury crosses 40 degree Celsius in Chandrapur
The mercury has breached the 40 degrees Celsius-mark this summer in Maharashtra's Chandrapur district, making it the hottest place in the state, officials said on Wednesday. NCP chief Sharad Pawar on Tuesday said Shiv Sena (UBT) president Uddhav Thackeray had resigned as chief minister of Maharashtra unilaterally, without consulting other constituents of the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA). “For the post of CM, Thackeray was the consensus candidate of three (MVA) constituents—Shiv Sena, NCP and Congress. As such,it was expected that when he decides to quit, he will consult heads of the three parties. We were surprised how he quietly resigned from the CM’s post without consulting us,” Pawar said in an interview to ABP Majha.
