Stock market update: Sugar stocks up as market rises

NEW DELHI: Sugar stocks were trading higher on Wednesday at 10:35AM

Simbhaoli Sugars(up 5.37%), Ponni Sugars(Erode)(up 5.04%), Rana Sugars(up 4.71%), MAGADHSUGAR(up 3.86%), Dwarikesh Sugar Industries(up 3.80%), Sakthi Sugars(up 3.46%), Uttam Sugar Mills(up 3.37%), AVADHSUGAR(up 3.23%), Shree Renuka Sugars(up 3.04%) and KCP Sugar & Industries(up 2.96%) were among the top gainers.

Dharani Sugars & Chemicals(down 1.63%) were among the top losers.

The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 29.15 points up at 17751.45, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was up 54.39 points at 60212.11 at around 10:35AM.

Divis Laboratories(up 4.84%), Adani Enterprises(up 2.64%), Dr Reddys Laboratories(up 1.48%), Bajaj Auto(up 1.4%), Coal India(up 1.27%), Eicher Motors(up 1.01%), Tata Motors(up 0.99%), Cipla(up 0.93%), HDFC Bank(up 0.79%) and Grasim Industries(up 0.73%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.

On the other hand, Oil & Natural Gas Corporation(down 1.48%), Bharat Petroleum Corporation(down 1.06%), IndusInd Bank(down 1.02%), Bharti Airtel(down 0.99%), Power Grid Corporation of India(down 0.95%), Nestle India(down 0.94%), UPL Ltd(down 0.7%), Hindustan Unilever(down 0.7%), NTPC(down 0.7%) and ITC(down 0.64%) were trading in the red.
