Two-wheeler rider dies in accident

Mangaluru: A two-wheeler rider succumbed to the injuries sustained after the vehicle that he was riding rammed a parked container truck at Shaktinagara in Kuvettu village of Belthangady taluk on Monday night. The deceased is Selvaraj, 51. Pillion rider Lokesh, 25, also sustained injuries.
In a complaint, Hanumantharayappa from Nelamangala in Bengaluru stated that he had parked the container truck by the side of the road.
The deceased was allegedly riding the vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and rammed the truck. As a result, both fell on the road and got injured.
Though the injured were rushed to hospital, Selvaraj succumbed to the injuries en route. A case has been registered at Belthangady traffic station.
