Hello and welcome to Sportstar’s Live Coverage of the Super Cup 2023 fixture between Sreenidi Deccan and Kerala Blasters happening at the EMS Corporation Stadium in Kozhikode on Wednesday. This is Mayank bringing you all the updates.

Lovely running pass from Castaneda to Gabriel as the latter goes for a solo run from the right flank and hits a shot on target which was collected by Sachin, who dived on his right to save.
A no-nonsense clearance from Phalguni to hit the ball away from the line of attack as Kerala is looking for the first goal with the constant attack on Deccan’s half.
Kerala, who is playing in all whites is looking for constant chances to breach the Deccan’s defence.
Deccan has possession of the ball in the initial minutes after the halftime break. Kerala is still looking for its first goal.

GOALLLLLLLL! WHAT A GOAL! UNBELIEVABLE FINISH FROM THE CAPTAIN HIMSELF! The triumvirate of Castaneda Hassan and Shayesteh goes for the counter-attack, Castaneda receives a floated cross from Shayesteh from the left flank and he jumps high to make a contact with a ball and place the ball in the back of the net with his amazing kick.
Rahul KP finds himself in a lovely position with a proper view of the post and he takes his time to place his shot but Dinesh blocks well by putting his body in between.
Phalguni was encircled by three defenders and he flicks the ball above them to pass it to Bagui who successfully wins a corner kick. Deccan fails to make any mark with this kick.
Rahul KP receives a brilliant through ball inside the box but he has been taken down inside the box, referee says nothing serious so a goal kick for Deccan as the ball went out of play with Rahul’s touch being the last one.
Kerala wins the ball for a brief time but Deccan takes the possession back to push KBFC back into their own half. Castaneda tries a long-ranger which curls and Sachin collected with ease.
Deccan has the possession for the last two minutes continuously. They are not going for an instant attack but waiting for the right time to pierce the defence.
A break in play as players are rehydrating themselves as the game is being played in the hot humid conditions of Kerala.
The Columbian, Castaneda turns and swivels to hit a wrong-footed shot on the target but keeper Sachin does a fine job to collect the ball on time.
End-to-end football is being played here as Sreenidi Deccan counter-attacks before Kerala concedes a free-kick in their half while trying to get an equaliser.
Bagui with another sliding tackle to stop Ivan this time who was making a run from left flank.

Deccan wins a corner kick and they are looking the team to beat today! Phalguni involvement in the front lines gives Deccan a piercing top line.
GOALLLLLLL! HASSAN REGISTERS HIS NAME IN THE SCORE SHEET! Phalguni turns to deceive Jeakson Singh in the midfield with his cheeky move and passes the ball further to Gabriel, who was ready to pounce as he strikes with a shot to find the back of the net with a brilliant finish! What a combination play by Deccan to put Kerala under pressure. Pin-drop silence at the EMS Stadium.
Counter-attack - KBFC takes the ball possession back, and this time it is the home team, who is making their run, but Deccan’s consolidated back-line takes care of Kerala this time.
Gabriel gets the ball from midfield and he turns around to flick the ball back to Maya, who goes with an overlapping run but could not find the space to execute a shot.
Bryce goes for a solo run from the left channel and looks dangerous for a potential chance but a timely intervention from Bagui handles him with a sliding tackle.
Shayesteh wins a handball as he tries to pass above the KBFC defender, but it got a faint deflection from the Kerala player. A free-kick for Shayesteh, but it didn’t have the pace as the ball went out of play with a deflection of a Deccan player.
Bidyashagar and Rahul KP tries to make a move from the right channel but the defence of Deccan has enough numbers to counter the run.
Deccan has the ball possession, Hassan has the ball in the midfield but Ayush Adhikari tackles him, a foul conceded by Kerala in the early minutes.
And the Manjappada army started their chants with the kick-off. Massive support for the local team in Kozhikode.
