GURGAON: The Haryana Shahari Vikas Pradhikaran (HSVP) cleared encroachments on Monday from a revenue road inside Central Park 2, a residential society on Sohna Road.
The society residents had filed a complaint against the developer, blaming it for encroachments. The revenue road belongs to HSVP, which had acquired the land for the road.
TOI reached out to the developer but didn’t receive any response.
On Monday, the HSVP team removed an iron gate and mesh on the road in the presence of heavy police security. The team, including junior engineer Parminder Singh, Vikas Saini, and Amandeep, reached the site with two excavator machines and removed the encroachments. It also directed the developer to shift an underground diesel tank.
During the drive, an argument broke out between the residents and the developer’s representative but did not escalate due to the presence of police personnel.
Singh said the encroachments had come up on a nearly 300m-long stretch on the revenue road. “The Authority had acquired the land for the road, but the developer encroached on it,” he said.
Prabhat Bharadwaj, president of Bellevue Central Park 2 Condominium Association, said residents now hope the town and country planning department will remove the wall that divides the society into two parts.
The residents have filed complaints against the developer at different forums, claiming they do not have access to a central green space or club after over a decade of taking possession of their flats. The residents have also claimed that the developer revised the project plan in 2019, and the town and country planning department approved the same in 2021 without the consent of residents of towers 1-9.
