The Nifty IT index was up 0.07 per cent at 29061.25 at the time of writing this report.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 118.05 points at 17742.1, while the BSE Sensex was up 399.79 points at 60246.3.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 47 were trading in the green, while 3 were in the red.
Shares of Suzlon Energy, PNB, Zomato Ltd., Bank of Baroda and YES Bank were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of Aarti Surfactants(PP), Aki India, Srivasavi Adhesive Tapes Ltd., Kamdhenu Ventures Ltd. and MCON Rasayan India hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Latteys Industries, Nirman Agri Genetics and Seya Industries hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
