15 companies interested for setting up units in Amravati Textile Park

Nagpur, Apr 11 (KNN) The Maharashtra government has initiated talks with 15 companies to establish units in the Textile Park at Amravati announced as a part of the PM MITRA (Mega Integrated Textile Region and Apparel) scheme.
It includes majors like Raymond who are keen to set up their units there.
For the project the Amravati district administration has already acquired 220 hectares.
During his visit to Amravati, Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis said after the completion of land acquisition, the government would start infrastructure works by inking a pact with the Centre.
A complete eco-system would be created in this park from cotton to textile to garment, leading to a massive development in West Vidarbha.
“It will not only benefit the cotton growers but also provide massive employment to the youth. All the allied industries from ginning to pressing will be set up here. The remaining land acquisition would be completed in the next two weeks,” he said. (KNN Bureau)
