Stock market update: Mining stocks up as market rises

NEW DELHI: Mining stocks were trading higher on Tuesday at 10:34AM

20 Microns(up 3.96%), KIOCL(up 2.59%), Orissa Minerals Development Company(up 1.81%), Oriental Trimex(up 1.57%), Gujarat Mineral Dvpt Corporation(up 1.49%), Pokarna(up 1.25%), MOIL(up 0.71%), Coal India(up 0.65%), NMDC Ltd(up 0.45%) and Madhav Marbles and Granites(up 0.36%) were among the top gainers.

Ashapura Minechem(down 1.48%) and Aro Granite Industries(down 0.25%) were among the top losers.

The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 101.85 points up at 17725.9, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was up 345.35 points at 60191.86 at around 10:34AM.

Kotak Mahindra Bank(up 4.34%), JSW Steel(up 2.13%), State Bank of India(up 1.45%), Bajaj Auto(up 1.39%), Eicher Motors(up 1.25%), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries(up 1.17%), ITC(up 1.17%), ICICI Bank(up 1.17%), Adani Enterprises(up 1.02%) and NTPC(up 0.93%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.

On the other hand, Tata Consultancy(down 0.53%), Asian Paints(down 0.44%), Larsen & Toubro(down 0.28%), Hero MotoCorp(down 0.28%), Wipro(down 0.25%), Tata Motors(down 0.15%), Grasim Industries(down 0.11%), Infosys(down 0.04%) and Bharti Airtel(down 0.03%) were trading in the red.
