PATNA: A 40-year-old man has been booked for allegedly raping a 17-year-old girl for two days by holding her captive at gunpoint at Bhabhua in Kaimur district, police said on Monday.
In her FIR lodged at women's police station on Sunday, the rape survivor said that one Bablu Pathak forcibly took her to his lodge when she was on way to school and raped her for two days.
Bhabhua SDPO Sunil Kumar Singh said police were conducting raids to arrest Bablu. "He has been booked under relevant sections of the IPC and sections 4 and 6 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act," the SDPO added.
He said when the girl was on way to school on April 6, Pankaj came on an SUV and offered her lift. "As the girl sat in his car, he took her to his lodge. The girl was held captive at the lodge for two days and raped by Pankaj. On April 8, he left her in a semi-conscious state in a bus. After regaining consciousness, the girl contacted her parents. Her statement was recorded on Monday," Singh said.
