One arrested for attempting to sell ganja in Mangaluru

MANGALURU: The Kavoor police arrested a man while he was attempting to sell ganja in Marakada. Suhan S Poojary, 23, from Vadabandeshwara in Malpe of Udupi, was arrested on Saturday, said city police commissioner Kuldeep Kumar R Jain. It is learnt that the accused reached Padushedde on his scooter and attempted to sell ganja when he was arrested by a team of police.
The cops seized 1.99 kg ganja, a mobile phone and a scooter from him. The value of the seized properties is worth Rs 76,000, they said. Police have registered a case and begun investigation.
