Assam: Police recovers 9 exotic animals smuggled from Indonesia, Myanmar

Assam Police on April 11 recovered 9 exotic animals in Cachar district. The animals were being smuggled from Indonesia, Myanmar via Mizoram's Champhai district. Numal Mahatta, SP Cachar said, “We recovered 9 exotic animals in Cachar. These were being smuggled from Indonesia and Myanmar through the Champhai district of Mizoram. Now, the recovered animals are handed over to the officials of Assam State Zoo.”
