Youth rapes 15-year-old for months

Ludhiana: Police on Sunday night arrested a 21-year-old AC mechanic for raping a minor girl for months.
The 15-year-old girl, who appeared for Class IX exams recently, knew the accused for around five months. She said they often talked over the phone.
In her complaint to the police, the girl claimed that the accused had taken her to his house in the absence of his relatives 5-6 times and made sexual relations with her forcefully each time. She claimed that on April 2 afternoon, the accused asked to meet her in a market. Though she sat on his motorcycle, she jumped off the bike out of fear.
The girl received injury on her left arm. She did not reveal anything to her family as the accused had threatened to kill her brother. Asked about her injury again, she told her mother the entire story on Sunday, following which she lodged a complaint into the matter.
Police later booked the accused under Sections 376 (rape), 506 (criminal intimidation) of the IPC and Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act. tnn
