Varanasi: Jawans of 11 NDRF conducted a mock security drill at Rudraksh international cooperation conference centre to train officials and staff of Varanasi Smart City Limited and integrated command and control centre in precautions and actions during natural and other disasters.

Jitendra Singh, assistant commandant Ravi Singh, VSCL chief general manager Dr D Vasudevan, along with officers and representatives took part in the mock drill.
During the drill, the commandant and other trainers exhibited actions required for rescue and fire-fighting in case of natural calamities like earthquake, flood, avalanche, landslide and rescue in case of building collapse.
Training on Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) in case of drowning was also imparted to the participants.
In his address, Vasudevan thanked 11 NDRF battalion and congratulated its squad, which was deployed in relief work during the recent earthquake in Turkiye.
The commandant shared his experiences during Turkey earthquake in front of the participants and exhorted all to help each other in disasters.
