Adani Power shares up 0.95% as Nifty gains

NEW DELHI: Shares of Adani Power Ltd. traded 0.95 per cent up in Tuesday's trade at 10:41AM (IST). Around 501,346 shares changed hands on the counter.

The counter opened at Rs 194.05 and touched an intraday high and low of Rs 198.1 and Rs 194.05, respectively, in the session so far. Shares of the company of Adani Power Ltd. quoted a 52-week high of Rs 432.8 and a 52-week low of Rs 132.55.

As per BSE, the total market cap of the Adani Power Ltd. stood at Rs 75480.3 crore at the time of writing this report.

Key Financials
The company reported consolidated sales of Rs 8290.21 crore for the quarter ended 31-Dec-2022, down 1.84 per cent from previous quarter's Rs 8445.99 crore and down 48.21 per cent from the year-ago quarter's Rs 5593.58 crore.

The net profit for latest quarter stood at Rs 8.77 crore, down 95.99 per cent from the corresponding quarter last year.

Shareholding pattern
As of 31-Dec-2022, domestic institutional investors held 0.0 per cent stake in the company, while foreign institutional investors held 12.88 per cent and the promoters 46.64 per cent.


Valuation ratio
According to BSE data, the stock traded at a price-to-earnings multiple of 7.45 and a price-to-book ratio of 13.0. A higher P/E ratio shows investors are willing to pay a higher price because of better future growth expectations. Price-to-book value indicates the inherent value of a company and is the measure of the price that investors are ready to pay even for no growth in the business.
