Thiruvananthapuram: Vadakara MLA K K Rema has sent a legal notice to CPM state secretary M V Govindan, MLA Sachin Dev and the CPM party mouthpiece for insulting her through various media saying that she faked a hand injury during the assembly ruckus in March this year.
In the notice sent through her advocate, the RMP leader asked them to publicly apologize for the comments made against her or else she would be filing a defamation suit and also a criminal case against them. In the notice, Rema said the apology should be made within 15 days.
Rema said that there has been no action from the police even after giving a complaint to the state police chief. She had also complained to the cyber police against Dev for defaming her through social media. She said that there was no response to her complaints.
During the assembly ruckus, Rema had injured her hand and as per the doctor’s directions a plaster cast was put on her hand. However, the CPM leaders had unleashed a negative campaign against Rema claiming that she was faking the injury.
