UP 'leader state' in central schemes' implementation

LUCKNOW: In a major achievement for the Yogi Adityanath government, Uttar Pradesh has excelled in the implementation of major central welfare and development schemes.
"As the state continues to scale new heights in terms of development, along with becoming the most preferred investment destination by receiving proposals worth Rs 35 lakh crore during the Global Investors Summit, UP has also emerged as a 'leader state' by performing well in the implementation of 32 schemes," a government spokesman said.
He said the feat has been achieved in the best implementation of schemes like PM Awas Yojana, construction of toilets under the Swachh Bharat Mission, Saubhagya Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana, implementation of MGNREGA, Covid-19 testing and vaccination.
"Committing to making UP the country's growth engine, the CM reviews development and other public welfare schemes daily. His continuous monitoring has led to the successful implementation of all schemes at the central and state level," he said.
"UP has topped in implementation of PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana, for approving/constructing 52.5 lakh houses in PMAY (rural and urban), free gas connections to 1.75 crore eligible families under Ujjwala Yojana, constructing 2.61 crore toilets under Swachh Bharat Mission, paying more than Rs 2 lakh crore sugarcane price, among others," he said.
"UP emerged first in the country to open 8.56 crore accounts under Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana gave loans worth Rs 1190 crore to over 10 lakh vendors under PM SVANidhi Yojana. UP also stood first in the production of sugarcane and sugar, food grains, potatoes, green peas, mangoes, milk and oilseeds," he said.
