QR code system launched in all police stations for people-friendly service
Hubballi: The Hubballi-Dharwad police commissionerate has implemented a people-friendly police service by introducing a QR code system called 'Lok Spandana' in all its 22 police stations.
All police stations now have a QR code displayed at the entrance of every police station. If you face problems at the station, scan the code and write about it in the prescribed column.
Complainants coming to the police station can now provide feedback on staff behaviour, complaint acceptance, etc. You can scan the QR code and express your opinion. A separate team has been appointed to review these comments.
Raman Gupta, Commissioner of Police, said that 'Lok Spandana' is a special programme to make police stations more people-friendly. It is software where the public who come to each station give their opinion about the police response to their problems through QR Code.
It is installed at all stations. The SHO will enter the information of all the public who came to the station in the visitors' book and give a copy to the public. Upon scanning the QR Code and putting the visitor's ID into it, the feedback form will open and can be filled out.
According to sources, people will be asked for 14 points in the feedback form. They have to comment on the police response. This software was implemented in February, according to sources.
Gupta said, to date about 3,900 public have given their feedback and many have expressed their appreciation for the working of the police. The system was introduced using advanced technology to make police stations more user-friendly and hassle-free. "Without any effort, people can give their feedback based on their experiences in the police station, so that we can make changes if any are required," he added.
