An 18-year-old man died of his injuries following a shooting on East Virginia Beach Boulevard on Saturday afternoon, according to Norfolk police.

According to a release from the Norfolk Police Department, officer responded to a report of a shooting around 3:30 p.m. at 711 E. Virginia Beach Blvd., near Church Street. At the scene, Antonio Wilson was taken to the hospital with a life-threatening gunshot wound.

In a Monday release, police stated Wilson died of his injuries.
