No alternative to development, says CM at launch of projects

LUCKNOW: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Sunday inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of 258 development projects worth Rs 1,046 crore in Gorakhpur. These include inauguration of 56 projects costing about Rs 334 crore and foundation stone laying of 202 projects costing about Rs 712 crore.
Speaking on the occasion, the CM said that there is no alternative to development and the country is touching new heights under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
“In the last nine years, under the leadership of the Prime Minister, a better environment has been created for the internal and external security of the country. The task of exuding faith in the mind of every citizen of the country has been done under him,” said Yogi.
Talking about the law and order situation in the state, Yogi said that there have been no riots in Uttar Pradesh in the last six years.
“The government will take legal action against whoever creates chaos. On one hand, UP is now known for a better law and order environment, while on the other hand, the residents of the states are getting the benefits of the biggest schemes related to infrastructure in the country. Gorakhpur cannot be left behind in the development of the state. We will also take this work forward step by step,” he said.
More than 4,000 poor people have got one house each in Unwal Bazar of district Gorakhpur. Every citizen has received the benefit of development there without any discrimination.
“Tablets / smartphones have been distributed to 20 lakh youth of the state so far. This number will be extended to 2 crore youth, so that they can become technically competent,” said the CM.
