LUDHIANA: The ongoing eight Corporate T-20 Cricket Tournament in Ludhiana concluded Sunday with Highway Industries Limited (HIL) winning the tournament.
HIL played against Uniparts India Limited (UIL) on the last day of the tournament, and was crowned the champion of the tournament. The UIL team won the toss and scored 181 runs in 20 overs. Batting second, the HIL team chased the target and won the match.
Chamber of Industrial and Commercial Undertakings (CICU) organised this tournament in the memory of entrepreneur Angad Singh, and the final match was held in the ground of Government College for Boys, Civil Lines.
CICU president Upkar Singh Ahuja said, “This tournament has become the most-awaited
sports event amongst the industry, as teams of different industries compete against each other to bag this prestigious trophy.”
Apart from prominent industrialists, AAP MLA Kulwant Singh Sidhu was also present at the event and also batted a few balls.
