The Telugu film fraternity is in a celebratory mood as two of their own have brought home one of the most prestigious awards in the film industry – the Oscar. MM Keeravaani, the music director of the film 'RRR', and Chandrabose, the lyricist, were felicitated on Sunday, April 11, in Hyderabad for their contribution to the film industry.
The Oscar-winning song ‘Naatu Naatu’ from the movie 'RRR' has taken the world by storm. It’s a catchy folk song that has been composed by MM Keeravani and the lyrics were penned by Chandrabose. The song was part of the movie’s soundtrack and it has won the hearts of music lovers all over the world.

The film fraternity in Telugu cinema was quick to recognize the contribution of MM Keeravani and Chandrabose to the music industry. They organized a felicitation ceremony to honor the duo for bringing home the prestigious award. The ceremony was held in Hyderabad and was attended by several prominent members of the film industry. This program featured Telangana Ministers Talasani Srinivas Yadav and Srinivas Goud as its guests.
During the event, MM Keeravani and Chandrabose were lauded for their hard work and dedication to the film industry. They were presented with trophies and garlands as a mark of respect and appreciation for their work. The event was an emotional one as both the music director and lyricist thanked everyone who had supported them throughout their journey.

MM Keeravani, in his acceptance speech, thanked the entire RRR team and director SS Rajamouli for giving him the opportunity to compose the music for the film. He also thanked the audience for their love and support for the movie and its music. Chandrabose, on the other hand, thanked the entire Telugu film fraternity for their support and encouragement.

In regards to the idols in each temple, Keeravaani explained that while the original idols do not come out, there are ceremonial statues that showcase their uniqueness. He went on to attribute the success of the song in the movie 'RRR' winning the prestigious Oscar to Rajamouli and Prem Rakshit, describing them as idols, while he and Chandra Bose were merely ceremonial idols who received the favors, honors, and compliments on their behalf.

Expressing his happiness at the film industry coming together for events like this, Keeravaani stated that it was a healthy situation for all crafts to meet and wished for such festive atmospheres to happen again and again. He also reflected on the beginning of his career, noting that his first song was recorded at Prasad 70 MM Theater in Chennai, which he always felt a great feeling when stepping into. He expressed his gratitude to Krishnam Raju and Surya Narayana Raju for giving him the opportunity to work there as a newcomer.

Keeravaani likened the feeling of composing songs in that theater to eating sweets like rasagulla and gulab jam, while receiving the Oscar award was like drinking fine tea. He explained that one may not appreciate the sweetness of the tea after eating sweets.

Regarding his reaction to receiving the Oscar, Keeravaani shared that Karthikeya's wife had asked him why he was not excited about it. He replied that having seen everything in life, he was happy to receive it, but not necessarily excited.

Finally, Keeravaani concluded by thanking the team behind the song's success, including Rajamouli, Prem Rakshit, the two heroes who danced hard to the song 'Naatu Naatu', and the dancers of Ukraine who also contributed to the success. He expressed his gratitude for the program that organized the collective appreciation of everyone's efforts.
