Frequent power outages causing heavy losses to industries in Madhya Pradesh

Indore, Apr 10 (KNN) Due to the Frequent and unannounced power tripping in industrial areas, the Madhya Pradesh industrial units are facing heavy production losses, according to a report in the TOI.
Industrialist Surendra Devra said, “One unannounced tripping causes losses in lakhs and damages electronic gadgets. Power outages disrupt production and cause hefty loss to companies.”
As per reports, Industrialists under the banner of Association of Industries Madhya Pradesh demanded maintenance of overloaded transformers in the industrial belts and to connect industries with urban feeders.
Harish Nagar, secretary, Plada Industrial Association said, “Power tripping in our industrial belt has reduced after the electricity department changed transformers but still it happens about 3-4 times in a day which is a great concern.”
Earlier, tripping in Palda industrial area was about 7-8 times in a day for about 10 mins each, he added.
The local industry is also demanding a change of old electricity instruments in industrial belts. (KNN Bureau)
