Watch: 'We've Lost Everything,' Say Victims of Ram Navami Communal Violence in Bihar Sharif 

Locals say that the carnage continued five hours, after which the police arrived. 'How will we earn a livelihood anymore, everything is gone?' asks a Bihar Sharif local.

At Bihar Sharif in Nalanda district on March 31, young men involved in a Ram Navami procession hurled petrol bombs at Muslim shops chanting “Jai Shri Ram”. Shops and buildings were burnt. As many as 4,500 Islamic literature books of the 110-year-old Azizia library were set on fire. Locals say that the carnage continued five hours, after which the police arrived.
