Religious flag's 'desecration' sparks violent clashes in Jamshedpur, Section 144 imposed
After alleged desecration of a religious flag led to brick-batting and arson between two groups, prohibitory orders under Section 144 of CrPC have been imposed at Shastrinagar in Jharkhand's Jamshedpur.Internet services have been suspended across steel city since 1am following communal clashes. Security forces on Monday conducted flag march in Kadma police station area to monitor the situation.

Section 144 CrPc is enforced in Jamshedpur's Kadma police station area in view of the stone pelting that broke out between two groups in Jamshedpur on Sunday over the alleged desecration of a religious flag. Mobile internet is also temporarily banned. According to the officials, a company of Rapid Action Force (RAF) is also deployed in the area.

Tami Nadu registers 369 fresh Covid-19 cases, active cases go up to 1,900
The number of active Covid-19 cases has increased to 1,900 on Sunday with another 369 people testing positive for the virus in the last 24 hours.Among them, five were passengers who returned from Singapore (3), UAE (1) and Thailand (1).Chennai (113) reported the maximum number of new infections followed by Chengalpattu (37), Thiruvallur (19) and Coimbatore (17).The Test Positivity Rate (TPR) of these districts is also much higher compared to the state’s average figure of 7. 5%. Tami Nadu screens around 4,500 samples per day.
