38% of the work on Zojila Tunnel has been completed: Nitin Gadkari

Union Minister Nitin Gadkari visited the Zojila Tunnel project site and reported that 38% of the work on the tunnel has been completed. The project, which aims to provide all-weather connectivity between Srinagar, Kargil, and Leh, is expected to reduce travel time and boost economic growth in the region. Gadkari commended the efforts of the workers and engineers and stated that the project would be completed by 2026, as per the revised deadline. The tunnel, once completed, will be the longest tunnel in India and is expected to be a game-changer for the region, improving connectivity and enhancing tourism.
