A ward in Verla-Canca organises robotics demo for local students

The Verla-Canca ward 1 panch member Aarti Pravin Chari recently organised a robotics demo session, with help from team LegoGoa Axiom from Panaji.

LegoGoa is a club of robotics enthusiasts who have been participating in various robotics competitions at the national and international level successfully. LegoGoa Axiom comprises a team of 14 students from across Goa.

During the session, team members Aniket Bhatikar, Dhruv Desai, Sai Pranav Gandhi, Viraj Marathe and Venkatesh Dempo spoke about the team and their journey in robotics. They conducted a demo with the robot and invited participants to control the robot using a joystick. 

Over 70 students from eight schools registered for the event.

Mentor of the team Saieesh Gandhi said, “It is unique that the local community, i.e. panch members, have taken an interest in providing STEM awareness to the kids in the community. All the panchayats should take inspiration from Aarti Chari of ward 1, Verla-Canca, to take more interest in the education of children in their community.’’
