Getty ImagesNEW DELHI: The Nifty IT index traded positive around 10:44AM(IST)on Monday in an upbeat market.
Wipro(up 0.83 per cent), L&T Technology(up 0.74 per cent), Tata Consultancy(up 0.72 per cent), Tech Mahindra(up 0.68 per cent) and HCL Technologies(up 0.57 per cent) were among the top gainers.
Persistent Systems(down 0.57 per cent) were the top losers on the index.
The Nifty IT index was up 0.4 per cent at 28879.15 at the time of writing this report.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 29.5 points at 17628.65, while the BSE Sensex was up 57.6 points at 59890.57.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 31 were trading in the green, while 19 were in the red.
Shares of Tata Motors, YES Bank, Vodafone Idea, BHEL and Zomato Ltd. were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of Asian Hotels, Aki India, Tara Chand Logistic, Srivasavi Adhesive Tapes Ltd. and DRS Dilip Roadlines hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Vikas Proppant & Gr, Nirman Agri Genetics, Seya Industries, Goldstar Power and Mohota Industries hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
