Watch: Rashid Khan takes first hat-trick of IPL 2023

NEW DELHI: Leading Gujarat Titans in the absence of unwell Hardik Pandya, Rashid Khan became the first bowler to take a hat-trick in the IPL 2023. This was Rashid's first hat-trick in the history of the IPL which he achieved against Kolkata Knight Riders on Sunday.
KKR were cruising in their pursuit of 205 but Rashid, who went for 35 runs in the first 3 overs, came to bowl and dismissed Andre Russell, Sunil Narine and Shardul Thakur to complete the hat-trick and turned the match in GT's favour.
Rashid, a champion leg-spinner who now has four hat-tricks in T20 cricket, went for a celebratory sprint after completing the landmark.

KKR were reduced to 155/7 from 155/4 and when the victory looked within touching distance for Gujarat, the match witnessed another turning point.
Needing 29 off the last over, Rinku Singh did the unbelievable which never ever happened in IPL as he smashed five successive sixes to snatch victory for KKR from the jaws of defeat.
"A tough game for us, especially as a captain," said Rashid, standing in as skipper for the unwell Hardik Pandya. "That is what T20 is all about, it is about entertainment."
