Karnataka man held for transporting Ecstasy

MANGALURU: The CCB sleuths of the Mangaluru city police arrested a person on the charges of transporting 150g of MDMA from Bengaluru to Mangaluru. The accused is Abdulla C,39, from Kasaragod.
Acting on a tip-off, the CCB police led by ACP PA Hegde arrested the accused and seized MDMA worth Rs 7.5 lakh, that was being transported in a car for sale to the customers in Mangaluru. The police have sezied the car, phone and Rs1,260.
The total value of the seized items is Rs 17.6 lakh. A case has been registered at the Mangaluru Rural police station.
Earlier, the accused was booked for transporting 45kg ganja at Visakhapatnam. In addition, a case has been registered against him at Vidyanagara police station in Kasaragod in Kerala, for drug consumption.
