Nagpur University academics urge governor to act on Baviskar panel report

Nagpur: The academics of Nagpur University (NU) have urged the chancellor to also act on the State Higher and Technical Education deputy secretary Vijay Baviskar’s report that had indicted VC Chaudhari on various counts and passed several strictures against him. The report nailed VC for flouting norms while awarding tenders for various works and clearing Rs1.37 crore dues to MKCL, which were stopped by his predecessor SP Kane.
The academics advised Bajpai and other senate members to approach HC in this case as well, as former chancellor Koshyari had sat on Baviskar’s report for over five months.
Recently, the state government had resubmitted Baviskar’s report to Bais for action, which was reported by TOI.
