Committee formed for Ganga Pushkaralu fest from April 22
Varanasi: In view of the forthcoming Ganga Pushkaralu fest, the Sri Kashi Telugu Samiti (KSTS) on Saturday formed a Ganga Pushkaram Organising Committee in view of the beginning of 12-day fest commencing from April 22.
The committee was formed at a meeting of SKTS held at Sree Rama Taraka Andhra Ashramam under the leadership of its vice-president K Narasimha Murthy. After discussing important issues related to forthcoming mega fest, the participants unanimously elected Rajya Sabha MP GVL Narsimha Rao as the president of the committee.
The participants also elected V Subhramanyam (mani) as vice-president, VV Sundar Sastry as secretary and T Gajanan Joshi as joint secretary .
Apart from other prominent Telugu individuals and organisations, Nirmala Ramanatha Sarma, Cycle Baba and KVA Santosh Kumar also attended the meeting.
The 12-day Pushkaralu fest of Telugu people is going to be held along the holy Ganga this year after a gap of 12 years.
