BIHARSHARIF: Internet services were restored in Nalanda district after eight days following ease in situation after Ram Navami clashes at Biharsharif.
Seven people allegedly involved in the clashes, including Bajrang Dal district convener Kundan Kumar, surrendered before the police on Saturday.
Nalanda SP Ashok Kumar Mishra said as the process of attachment of properties of nine absconding accused of Biharsharif violence began, seven of them surrendered. The SP added a special investigation team under sadar SDPO Shibli Nomani is probing the violence that took place during Ram Navmi processions in Biharsharif on March 31.
He said over 150 miscreants were arrested and 16 FIRs have been lodged so far. Nalanda DM Shashank Shubhanka said the situation in Biharsharif was by and large peaceful.
