Your editorial “An Oil Price Warning for Democrats” (April 4) implies that President Biden caused U.S. oil production to decline. It goes on to make the case that a decline in production is bad for America.
But oil production in the U.S., which is forecast by the U.S. Energy Information Administration, is set to average 12.4 million barrels per day in 2023, surpassing the pre-Covid historic high of 12.3 million barrels per day from 2019.
