Will fight against Shah from wherever he fights in UP: Acharya Krishnam
Prayagraj: Congress leader and Kalki Peethadhishwar Acharya Pramod Krishnam on Saturday challenged Union home minister Amit Shah and said he would fight against the senior BJP leader from wherever he decides to contest in UP.
“I challenge him that from wherever he decides to fight in Uttar Pradesh, I will fight against him. Today, young businessmen, employees, officers, public and farmers are all upset and the change of power in 2024 is certain,” he said.
He was in the city to talk with party workers regarding the upcoming Lok Sabha and the urban local body polls. The senior Congress leader urged all secular parties to unite under the tricolor flag of Congress to take on the Modi government.
“Today the fight is between the Congress’ ideology and that of saffron party. Therefore, all secular parties should unite under the tricolour flag of the Congress to fight against the Modi government,” he said.
On Rahul Gandhi’s disqualification from Lok Sabha, he said although the Modi government has disqualified Rahul from the country's parliament, people of the country have welcomed him and they are his family.
During the day, he also had personal discussions with party workers on the names of those who would be contesting for the ULB and Lok Sabha polls.
