Rajagopalachari kin leaves Congress, joins BJP

Former Congress member and great-grandson of freedom fighter C Rajagopalachari, CR Kesavan, joined BJP on Saturday. With his joining the saffron party, three Congress members have now joined BJP in the past three days.
Kesavan was a Congress spokesperson and had quit the party recently.
Earlier this week, Anil Antony, son of AK Antony, followed by ex-Andhra CM Kiran Kumar Reddy, had joined BJP.
Kesavan heaped praise on PM Narendra Modi for ushering in a “tectonic” transformation in India with his people-centric policies, and corruption-free and inclusive governance. National security has been given primacy and India’s history and traditions are being celebrated with various events, he added.
