PATNA: Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief Lalu Prasad, who had undergone kidney transplant in December last year, is likely to go to Singapore for post-surgery review by the end of this month, sources close to his family said.
However, the final date of Lalu's departure will depend on the doctors' call from Singapore. "He has shown a lot of improvement post-kidney transplant and unlike earlier when his water intake was restricted, these issues are now over. But yes, he will be going again to Singapore for post-surgery review by the end of this month," said an RJD leader. He added all those who had accompanied Lalu earlier for the transplant would be going with him again.
10,000 to attend RJD's iftar party today:
The RJD is all set to throw a lavish iftar party on Sunday at the 10, Circular Road bungalow of former CM Rabri Devi. The party has extended an invitation to all its alliance partners along with the leaders of the opposition BJP, and made arrangements for nearly 10,000 people.
Party's national general secretary and former MLA Bhola Yadav said tents have been set up and preparations are in the final stage. "We will serve 'ghughni-pyaza', mixed-veg 'pakoras', fruits, dates and 'sherbet' to the guests."
