JAIPUR: Chief minister Ashok Gehlot has given the approval to open new police offices, police stations and outposts in the state. He has also approved about Rs 201 crore for the creation of 1,369 posts for the offices and necessary resources.
Additional superintendent of police offices will be opened in Weir (Bharatpur), Parbatsar (Nagaur), Kherwada (
Udaipur), ADF (Dholpur) and Lalsot (Dausa). For these offices, one each of additional superintendent of police, assistant sub-inspector and junior assistant and three posts of constable and driver will be created, i.e., in total 30 posts per office.
Similarly, Arnod (Pratapgarh), Taleda (Bundi), Pahadi (Bharatpur), Gangashahar (Bikaner), Ramsar (Barmer), Baunli (Sawai Madhopur), Khandela (Sikar), Ajeetgarh (Sikar), Siwana (Barmer) and Ahor (Jalore) deputy superintendent of police offices will be opened. For these offices, one post of deputy superintendent of police, head constable and junior assistant and four posts of constable with driver, total 63 posts will be created.
New urban police stations will be opened at Vaishali Nagar (Alwar), Mukta Prasad Nagar (Bikaner), Shrinathji (Rajsamand), Gokulpura (Sikar) and Sadar Police Station Bayana (Bharatpur).
Of these, one post of inspector, 5 of sub-inspector, 6 of assistant sub-inspector, 8 of head constable, 38 of constable, and 2 posts of constable with driver will be created, in all 300 posts.
Similarly, new rural police stations will be opened in Basdayal (Alwar), Hadan (Bikaner), Rahuwas (Dausa), Tanot (Jaisalmer) and Gothda (Jhunjhunu).
Three new Mahila police stations will be set up at Deedwana (Nagaur), Nawan (Nagaur) and Kotputli (Jaipur) with one Ssub inspector, four assistant sub-inspectors, 3 head constables and 22 posts of constable with driver, total 90 posts will be created.
10 police outposts of the state have been upgraded to police stations. These include Angai (Dholpur), Mor (Tonk), Sultana (Jhunjhunu), Babai (Jhunjhunu), Januthar (Bharatpur), Nimbi Jodha (Nagaur), Badu (Nagaur), Dabla (Sikar), Kailashnagar (Sirohi) and Jajod (Sikar). Around 38 police posts will also be opened in different districts of the state.
