Jaipur: A 21-year-old youth, who was returning from a fair organised on the occasion of Hanuman Jayanti on Thursday evening, was thrashed at least by six armed men at Lunkaransar town in Bikaner district. Police have registered a case against six persons and refuted reports that the scuffle took place at the religious gathering. According to police, Rohit was retuning from the fair when he found himself surrounded by at least six youths near the Old Bazaar area in the town. “They started thrashing Rohit. He was rushed to the nearby hospital and our team also reached the spot. However, the attackers fled from the scene,” said police on Friday.
Police have denied that the youth was attacked at the fair. “ Rohit had beaten a boy some time ago. This boy along with his friends took revenge,” said Lunkaransar SHO Charan Jeet Singh. tnn
