Talking to media persons on April 08, Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader Ajit Pawar spoke on Electronic Voting Machine (EVM) ahead of Lok Sabha polls 2024. He said that manipulating EVM by a single person that too in a country like India is not possible, however those losing elections put the blame on EVM being faulty. “I have full trust in EVM personally. If EVMs were faulty, then we would not have governments of opposition parties in states like Chattisgarh, WB, Rajasthan, Punjab, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. It is not possible to manipulate EVMs in our country. It is a big system altogether, lots of checks and balances are involved.”
