Rain reported at Mopa, Valpoi in Goa

PANAJI: Brisk rainfall with some thundering was reported at Mopa and Valpoi while light showers fell at isolated places on Saturdayevening, as overcast conditions persisted for most part of the day.
India meteorological department (IMD), Panaji had forecast thunder storms accompanied by lightning at isolated places on Saturday.
Though it didn’t rain at any of the 13 centres during the last two days till Saturday morning, IMD officials said light rain may have occurred in a few isolated places.
“The light rain or thunderstorms are due to moisture incursion from lower levels and troughs in easterlies,” Rajasree V P M, IMD scientist said.
