HYDERABAD: The lid was blown off another TSPSC question paper leak - third in a row - with the arrest on Friday of a Khammam couple, who reportedly paid Rs 6 lakh to scam kingpin P Praveen Kumar to secure the divisional accounts officer (DAO) paper.
A clinching lead took the special investigation team (SIT) probing the TSPSC paper leak case to Khammam, where the accused couple - Sai Laukik and his wife Sushmita - were nabbed for illegally obtaining the DAO paper. Investigators found Laukik had sold his car and transferred the Rs 6 lakh advance money from the buyer to Praveen for accessing the DAO paper.
The fresh revelation comes just weeks after twin TSPSC exam paper leaks - assistant engineer (civil) exam and Group-1 prelims exam - were unearthed during interrogation of kingpin Praveen and other accused. So far, 17 persons have been arrested in the case.
Laukik is a car dealer from Khammam and Sushmita was a former employee of an MNC. The DAO exam was held on February 26 and Praveen purportedly provided the question paper to the couple, three days before the exam.
