GURGAON: A 30-year-old man has been allegedly thrashed by four men after his bike hit another near Subhash Nagar area.
“I am a resident of UP and run a small shop in New Colony area. The incident happened last Sunday, while I was returning to my rented apartment in Subhash Nagar after closing my shop around 11.30pm,” Ajay Kumar told police. He further said he was about to reach home when his bike hit another.
“There were two men on that motorcycle who are known to me — Deepanshu and — Rahul. They immediately got off their motorcycle and started thrashing me. One of them called two other persons who also joined them in beating me. Some passersby came to my rescue and took me to the government hospital. The four men, before leaving, threatened me of dire consequences if I complained about the matter to police,” Ajay said.
“On Monday morning, we got to know about the fight in Subhash Nagar. Our teams reached the spot, from where we came to know that the victim was first taken to the government hospital and later shifted to a private hospital. When we called him up, he told us that he would submit a written complaint soon. On April 6, we received his complaint, following which an FIR has been registered and teams have been formed to nab the accused. Ajay said that he only knew Deepanshu and Rahul,” said SHO Vedpal of city police station.
An FIR under sections 323 (voluntarily causing hurt), 506 (criminal intimidation), and 34 (common intentions) of the Indian Penal Code has been registered against the accused, he added.
