Haveri: Chief minister Basavaraj Bommai has clarified that he will be contesting from Shiggaon-Savanur in the assembly election. Addressing a party meeting at Shiggaon on Friday, he said: “We have taken a big step by increasing reservations in the country. Congress, being divided on internal reservation, has been misleading people,” Bommai also said BJP is strong in Shiggaon-Savanur, as also elsewhere the state. “It will come to power with a full mandate. Many leaders from other parties have joined BJP, but they are not outsiders. We will make this Shiggaon-Savanur assembly segment a model in the state,” Bommai added. tnn
