13 phones found in central jail

Ludhiana: The authorities seized 13 mobile phones and 80 packets of tobacco from the Ludhiana central jail.
Police officials said in the first case, 12 mobile phones and tobacco pouches were found abandoned during the search in the jail on April 4. On the complaint of assistant jail superintendent Harbans Singh, police have booked an unidentified accused into the matter. Police officials said in another case, police booked undertrial Jawahar Singh Bahadar from whom a mobile phone was recovered during search in the jail on April 5.
