'Shouldn't biggest manager of country be educated?': Manish Sisodia targets PM Modi, writes letter from Tihar jail

L to R: Jailed Delhi minister Manish Sisodia and Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
NEW DELHI: Jailed former Delhi deputy chief minister Manish Sisodia has targeted prime minister Narendra Modi over his qualifications through an open letter written to the people of India, and asked shouldn't the biggest manager of country be educated.
A letter written from Tihar Jail comes amid Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) raising questions on the genuineness of prime minister Narendra Modi's degrees.
"The youths of the country are aspirational. They want to do something. They are in search of the opportunity. They want to conquer the world. They want to do something in science and technology. Is a lesser educated PM capable of fulfilling dreams of the youth?" said Sisodia in a letter.

Sisodia also referred to PM Modi's theory on using gutter gas for preparing tea and remark on 'cloud cover' to target, and said that such statements are dangerous for country.
He also asked why 60,000 government schools in the country were shut in recent years.

"I saw a video of PM Modi in which he proudly says he is not educated and has taken education in village school. Is it proud thing to be uneducated or lesser educated? A good education cannot be made available to a child of a common man in a country whose prime minister is proud of being less educated. A well-educated man is searched for a post of a manager in a company, so shouldn't the biggest manager of a country be educated?" Sisodia added in a letter.
The BJP also quick to allege that the result of class 9 and 11 in government schools was bad because of "poor decisions" taken by Sisodia, who ran the education department for eight years.
"Diploma in journalism - is that a degree? A diploma holder was the education minister of Delhi. It is the result of his bad policies that the quality of education in Delhi fell drastically in the last eight years," Delhi BJP spokesperson Praveen Shankar Kapoor alleged.
"These days, 40-50 per cent students in government schools fail in classes 9 and 11. The results of class 10 and 12 are also bad," he added.
Another Delhi BJP spokesperson Harish Khurana said a person is judged by his maturity-level, vision and how he handles critical issues and not by his qualification.
"Unfortunately, you (Sisodia) don't have any of them," Khurana
Sisodia was arrested by central bureau of investigation on February 26 for alleged corruption in the formulation and implementation of the now-withdrawn Delhi Excise Policy 2021-22 and has been lodged in Tihar jail since then.
