Three stalwarts of the stage— Atul Pethe, Pradeep Vaidya and Rujuta Soman— have come together to create a play, titled Mallpractice and The Show, which will have only 20 shows as it has been specifically designed for the theatre space, The Box. The play will not travel, so people have been coming from Mumbai, Kolhapur and other parts to watch it. Mallpractice and The Show is the story of a dancer. Entry: Rs 300. Contact: 9075929809
She’s a leaf collector

In her neighbourhood, Shraddha Joshi-Barde is famous as the woman who walks around collecting fallen leaves, twigs and barks of trees of interesting shapes and colours. What she does next with these sustains one of India’s few e-prints textile businesses, called Leafage. On April 9, Joshi-Barde will hold an Eco Printing Workshop in which participants will learn to create their own eco-printed silk stoles with onion skins, marigold petals and foraged leaves. Rumi Hai is a mehfil dedicated to the life and philosophy of Maulana Rumi. It is directed and performed by Ashwin Afraad and based on the mystic poet’s original Farsi poetry. Afraad, who has learnt the Persian language for over several years, discusses the beauty of Farsi through its incomparable literature. Entry: Rs 300
Metal mania in town

Metalheads, here’s a call to dust off your leather jacket, raise your devil horns and get moving to the metal mayhem at a tribute concert to the thrash metal bands of the 80s and 90s, Metallica, Megadeth, Pantera and Slayer.
